Cool OhMiHead + / Capsules

As a fan and (very) regular user / promoter of OhMiHead, anyone know what is OhMiHead Capsules (guess 2mg of OhMiHead in 4 * 500mg Capsules) / and OhMiHead + Capsules ? Also how are they packaged?

Cheers

Andy

Hi Andy,

We're working on adding in all of the the information about our new Ohmihead+ Capsules. The dose for protection against damage from alcohol is 4 x capsules. They come in a small grip seal pack as the single dose sachets (4 capsules in each sachet) or a tub of 40 capsules.

The 4 capsule dose contains:

2,000mg L-Carnosine
800mg Taurine
200mg Thiamine (Vitamin B1)
200mg Benfotiamine
16mg Luteolin

The 800mg of Taurine is roughly what you get in one can of Red Bull for an energy boost as well as all of the other new ingredients which are designed to complement each other and make the overall formulation work even better than then original Ohmihead.

Taurine
Many therapeutic applications of taurine have been investigated. Some conditions that taurine might be useful in treating include: cardiovascular diseases, hypercholesterolemia, epilepsy and other seizure disorders, macular degeneration, Alzheimer's disease, hepatic disorders, alcoholism, and cystic fibrosis. In recent years, taurine has become a common ingredient in energy drinks.Taurine is also often used in combination with bodybuilding supplements such as creatine and anabolic steroids. Another important function of taurine is detoxification.Taurine is required for efficent fat absorption & solubilization. Studies also showed that dietary taurine supplementation ameliorates experimental renal disease including models of refractory nephrotic syndrome and diabetic nephropathy. The benefinical effects of taurine are mediated by its antioxidant action. Because of taurine’s unique structure, containing a sulfonic acid moiety rather than carboxylic acid, it does not form an aldehyde from hypochlorous acid, forming instead a relatively stable chloroamine compound. Hence, taurine is an antioxidant that specifically mediates the chloride ion and hypochlorous acid concentration, and protects the body from potentially toxic effects of aldehyde release. Taurine has also been reported to protect against carbon tetrachloride-induced toxicity.

Thiamine
Thiamine, Vitamin B1, may enhance circulation, helps with blood formation and the metabolism of carbohydrates. It is also required for the health of the nervous system and is used in the biosynthesis of a number of cell constituents, including the neurotransmitter acetylcholine and gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA). It is used in the manufacture of hydrochloric acid, and therefore plays a part in digestion. It is also great for the brain and may help with depression and assist with memory and learning. In children it is required for growth and has shown some indication to assist in arthritis, cataracts as well as infertility.

Benfotiamine
Benfotiamine made headlines globally in 2003 when researchers released information about a study that was conducted at The Einstein College of Medicine in New York. The bottom line of this study was that a substance of the allithiamine group of the naturally occurring thiamine-derived compounds had positive effects on neuropathy, retinopathy and nephropathy and heart/circulatory problems in diabetics. Benfotiamine research has suggested that there are beneficial effects for diabetics and non-diabetics also. These benefits include sciatica, vascular health, general nerve health, lower blood pressure, grant cellular protection, anti-aging, fibromyalgia, prevention of lactic acidosis, and treatment for Alzheimers disease. Any condition that is the result of a thiamine deficiency will also respond quite well to benfotiamine. Of course, any bodily function that is improved by a therapeutic level of thiamine will certainly be enhanced by benfotiamine, since benfotiamine is perhaps the most effective form of thiamine.

Luteolin
Luteolin, a flavonoid found in parsley, artichoke, basil, celery, and other foods, has been found to actively scavenge and neutralise free radicals in the mitochondria as well as modulating the immune response. A study assessed the antioxidant potencies of several dietary flavonoids compared with vitamin C. Pretreatment with all flavonoids and vitamin C produced dose-dependent reductions in oxidative DNA damage. When ranked in order of potency, luteolin was more effective than vitamin C and seven other flavonoids in reducing DNA oxidative damage. Luteolin is such a good antioxidant that it can help the body withstand radiation and chemotherapy. Luteolin protects the body from the development of cancer by inhibiting the activation of nuclear transcription factor-kappa beta induced by tumor necrosis factor-alpha, and by sensitizing tumor cells to apoptosis, or programmed cell death suggesting a role for luteolin as an anti-cancer agent. Luteolin has even been suggested as a treatment for asthma. Indian researchers have shown that luteolin reduces some of the inflammatory processes responsible for the airway constriction associated with asthma. Even more interesting, Chinese researchers recently demonstrated that luteolin binds with the surface spike proteins on the deadly virus, blocking its entry into the host cell. In essence, say the researchers, luteolin may represent an effective means of developing new drugs for the prevention of viral infections such as the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), hepatitis C, and severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS).

This new formulation was developed for Lee down in Brighton who was on the ITV news regarding putting Ohmihead capsules into vending machines in bars, clubs, pubs and restaurants around that area.

See the clip here:

Because of the extra expenses of the other ingredients and getting them put into capsules and packaging etc. it unfortunately worked out too expensive to go into the Networking plan in the usual way ... but chatting with members they still wanted to be able to order them to use as sales aids to get people to try Ohmihead for themselves and so we have introduced them as a sales aid without any PV points. Everyone still gets 30% discount and makes 30% profit selling them... plus they still receive SiP Points in the usual way... it's just that there aren't any networking commissions paid out on them.

Everyone who tries Ohmihead loves it the next morning when they wake up feeling great and so the one dose sachets are already working very well for the members that have been using them. They have been ordering them and then giving them to their friends to try out, along with their website address to order more from when they find out how well they really do work.

People are understandably skeptical, as with anything new, and these sachets are a great way to get new people to try Ohmihead and, once they have experienced the benefits for themselves, they are then converted and a new customer for life!

All the best,

Pete...

Cool PV

Thanks for the very informative description Pete - much appreciated. My few samples I ordered arrived today, so will post back how they compare with OhMiHead (which I take every weekend, and recommened to everyone) next week

One thing - why is there no PV against either the Sample Bags (great idea - would be a good thing even in pots so distributors can retail on trial bags of the product) and Pots of 40 ?

Also, does the liquid version contain l-Carnosine, or the new formula - and is it possible it would ever be offered too?

Cheers

Thumbs up

Hi again Andy,

I look forward to your feedback about the comparison between the two... the initial feedback has been excellent and I know there's another brilliant testimonial on the capsules coming in from German as I was speaking with someone there earlier in the week who was amazed how well the 4 capsules worked.

As I mentioned, we developed these for Lee down in Brighton as he's working on promoting them in vending machines and needed them in capsule form. The challenge is the additional costs of everything; the extra ingredients, getting them encapsulated and packaging costs etc.

If we were to put them into the Network in the usual way the Retail price would have to be ?7.00 a sachet and nobody would buy them when they can get a 20g Tub of Ohmihead ?22.00. But chatting with members they really wanted to have them to use as sales aids... so it was decided to add them in without any PV to make them affordable. We have also already added in tubs of capsules with 40 in a tub for ?23.50 retail price and again without any PV. So members can still buy them with their 30% discount and sell them and make 30% commission on them ... but there just aren't any networking commissions paid out on them. Which is the best compromise that we could come up with to still offer them to members.

Following on from this idea, this also got us to thinking about all of the other great products that we have found and been offered over the years but have had to turn down as they simply wouldn't fit into the Ethos networking programme as the end retail price would have ended up more than anyone would be willing to pay for them. So we are currently working on a new Swiss Retail only website where, as with the Ohmihead Capsules, members will still be able to order at the 30% discounted members prices and will be able to make 30% commissions from their own replicated version of the website which we hope to have up and running with the first new products very soon.

The way we looked at it was that people are currently missing out on some excellent products that we'd love to have in the Ethos product range simply because they wouldn't fit into the existing plan... so we have developed this new idea to give everyone the best of both worlds. I think when you see the first couple of new products that will be on this new site you'll agree that it's an excellent compromise and many people will benefit from them.

All the best,

Pete...

Sorry, forgot to answer these for you... The liquid version is still in the prototype stages as this was something that I was working on myself for pubs, clubs and bars etc. before Lee got his publicity. So these are still a little way away from being generally available... Although we have been promoting them as 'coming soon' to build up the public awareness.

So we're currently running with the sachets with capsules in for the vending machines and the promotions running up to Christmas and, if all goes according to plan and there's enough demand, we'll then look at going into production with the tubes early in the New year - the challenge is that we'll have to do a minimum run of 150,000 which is a lot of tubes if the demand isn't there for them yet.

It's looking at the moment like the tubes will be pure L-Carnosine dissolved in 10ml of sterile water, with no other ingredients or additives. When they are done then they will be on offer but can't say whether they will be with or without PV until we know the full costings etc.

All the best,

Pete...
